Besides Mao Duncan, there are 2 widows drawing pensions from the bank, Mrs Robertson, whose husband died more than ... years ago.
As pensions at 3° the Hb fr. 7 Aug (the date of enclosed Resol"); but I think that in view of 12.163/98, they should both be paid arrears at 30 dollars.
Mrs Wildey, especially deserves consideration, because, owing to the disgraceful conduct of the Hongkong officials, she has been kept out of her pension for 2 yrs.
I authorise Agents to pay both these pensions at 3°, with arrears; Mrs Robertson's being paid at the current rate of exchange; & Mrs Wildey, whose husband died more than 2 yrs. ago & who wrote failed to get any information from the Colony as to her pension, (though she wrote more than once) until the B.A. telegraphed on the 24th ult.
The Col. Govt then telegraphed the amount of her pension & the B.A have been asked at what rate she is to be paid.
Both Mr. Wildey & Mrs Robertson are to be paid at the 3° rate, & to pay all future Kong pensions at 3° the &;
